Two miracles occurred this week…

The second Miracle is I am finally updating my blog. The first Miracle made the second necessary. I beat Griffin at scrabble yesterday! Only by one point, but it doesn’t matter… I won. Now, I tried to do a fancy screen shot like Erica did when she posted about beating Michelle at scrabble, but clearly she is much smarter than me because I couldn’t figure out how to do it. Instead my crappy cell phone pictures must suffice as proof. In case you can’t read it, it says Griffin: 237 Morgan: 238.

Four years ago today I had a dance concert. After the performance and boy named Griffin took me to the movies on a first date. We saw King Kong, a movie I have never seen again, mainly because of my extreme hatred for these disgustingly overgrown bugs.

(And by the way, I for got how much they TRULY grossed me out until I looked up that picture.)

Anyway, we have been together ever since so… Happy Anniversary Baby! I love you so much and I miss you like crazy, hurry up and come home already!

I leave tomorrow and return Sunday from a trip to Texas to see and big sister. Now you ask, what could take me away at a time that would prevent me from seeing New Moon opening day? And I reply, Nothing, except that the whole reason for me going is she doesn’t want to see it with out me, so she is flying me down there just for that purpose. She asked if she paid for it would I go see it with her and I said “uh, yeah, duh!” It might be terrible but I don’t care… I will content myself with watching a movie with beefed up, underage, Taylor Lautner with no shirt on half of the time, and be content. Taylor, Kirsten, and Robert…. I will see you at midnight.

I just got home from work and read about the fort hood shooting and freaked out. My sister lives on that army base until next weekend. Then I called and she didn't answer. But she finally called me back and she is ok. She and everyone else on base are on lock down. If i find out anything that only someone on base would hear i will inform. Now all we can to is pray for the family on the dead and for the injured.

I got a new cell phone finally! My old one was in bad shape. The little peice that held the left side of the battery on was broken so when you opened, closed, set down, or even touched the phone wrong, it would jiggle the battery and it would turn off. It was really annoying. But that is a thing of the past... goodbye crappy Chocolate...I hate you...

My school update

So I have finished two out of five papers I have to write for my English 101 class. It is kicking my behind though. I’m taking the accelerated class so I’ll be done by my birthday… and it is going quick. He gives us one day from the due date of a paper to the due date of the “invention” work of the next paper. Then we have one day to write the rough draft before it’s due and then we have two days to write the final draft. In the long run though, I know it’s best for me. I work best under pressure. If I have extra time, I put stuff off, so this way I’m not doing that.

As for my math class, so far so good. I’m taking basic math so it started out really easy. I just finished chapter one and got a 86.4% on my chapter test. The only thing that has been hard so far is balancing the math schedule with the English. English takes so much of my time I feel like I’m not getting to enough study time for math. But Oct. 7th is the last day of my English class so I’ll be able to spend more time on math after that.

These are a picture of a pair of jeans i got just before Griffin got home for his visit. I got them because my ole pair of jeans because my old ones were falling apart. At some point in time when he was here I couldn’t find them but I didn’t worry about it because I knew I’d find them at some point. I never did. They were no where at my Apt. or Kami's house or car and Michelle couldn’t find them at their house. It’s been a long time that he’s been gone now and I had pretty much given up. He just told me that last week he found them… in his clothes… in Germany… I have a pair of pants I’ve worn maybe five times that are better traveled than me.

Any one remember this game?

Rodent's Revenge! The point is to trap all the cats in the blocks that you push around(you being the mouse) there by turning them into cheese that you collect before the next cats can eat you. I just remembered it out of no where and remembered how much I loved this game when I was little! So I looked it up online to see what I could see and... Voila! I just downloaded it for my computer. Silly mice, kittens, and cheese in a puzzle game... what’s not to love?

I start my classes on Monday, and I am so nervous! I’m only talking English 101 and basic math to start but I am so bad at math! I’m scared! Math and I are not friends. In fact, math is my mortal enemy. I haven’t had passed a math class since geometry sophomore year and I got a c… minus. OK maybe a D, I think I pulled the grade up last minute but I don't remember.
Pray for me please, I'll need all the help I can get.

I just got back from Colorado. I was there for a week. Seeing as I was in the woods with no computer, I didn't check anything online the whole time. I got home, and turned on my computer, semi-eagerly. I just knew I would have so much to look at. It had been a whole week. I went to both myspace and facebook and checked them. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. A whole week and not one person: no friends, no family, no coworkers, not even my boyfriend wrote me one word online. Kami is my only friend. I'm a little sad.

Meme and Yasir came to visit. I only work one more day this week before mom and my trip to Cali to see Sean and Susanne. Public Enemies, Ice Age and Harry Potter all come out within 11 days of each other. Kami turns 21 one the 5th AND I Finally get to see Griffin's face again!!!

I feel extremly lucky right now. If I were 21 I would go to the casino or buy a lottery ticket. Maybe I should have my momma buy one. As for now I will clean my bed room, bath room and kitchen while singing awfully to silly music. You should be very happy you are not here to hear me

The only bad things and the silver linings:

My pay check will be awful because of lack of days worked BUT I was smart enough to think ahead and think I have saved enough money to pay everything that needs to be paid

I will be out of town on my best friend 21st birthday BUT we will have our celebration when I get home two days after.

She is going out of town for a week and I'm going to miss her like CRAZY, BUT at least it's while Griffin is here so I won't be alone AND I know how happy it will make her so that makes it worth it.

I have no one to see Harry Potter with BUT I am proud enough of my nerdiness to not care if I have to see it alone.

How do I put into words how I liked this movie?

Well lets see... 15 mintues into it i had to pee. 1 hour into it I had to pee so bad it hurt and by the end I didn't know if i would be able to make it to the restroom. But I refused to leave before it was over because I couldn't bare to miss a second because some thing else awesome or funny might happen. There were a few corny lines but it wouldn't have been the same with out them. I give it 4 out of 5. I really really liked it.

Thank’s to my amazing momma stocking up the apartment so I didn’t go out to eat and my best friend Kami paying when I did, I have lived the past two weeks on $48.25. That was $8.25 in my account and $40 I got from two days of take out tips, And I still have $13 left over! But thank the Lord it’s pay day and I don’t have to worry about over drafting anymore! July 1st is the release date for Public Enemies Staring my two favorite actors Christan Bale and Johnny Depp! I could not be more excited for this movie!!!!! There are no words to express my excitement. i will leave it at that with these for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.

Running a not too distant second to my Public Enemies excitement is.... you guessed it! ICE AGE: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS! If it is as good as the first two I will be a very happy (if a little immature for liking kids movies)woman. But the preveiws look awesome so I expect to be pleased. Last week I went on to AnnualCreditReport.com and got my free credit report, you know just for giggles. I didn't think it would say anything because I don't have anything. No credit cards or loans, no car. Well I got it today and was looking at it and it APPEARS that my SSN is being used by Mrs. Morgan M. Johnson and her husband Christopher. AND, they have a repo and $266 in collections. AWESOME!

I went with the DFC girls last night to see The Nutcracker and it was AMAZING! I love love LOVED it, and we had so much fun. I miss them all like crazy! In Feb. we are going to see Ballet AZ’s version of Romeo and Juliet. Yay!

Tonight…. Family dinner to Cracker Barrel! Then possible shopping with my sister and sister-in-law. But first, Laundry… I am in dire need of doing laundry, so that starts now.

You know I think he most likely just let his high slip long enough to realize that cool bum that hangs out and talks to him while he’s stoned is really just his reflection in the mirror.

Dec 28th I am going to sit in Symphony hall and watch the Sugar Plum Fairy(pictured above) dance and be more beautiful than I could ever ask for. That is right, I am going to see The Nutcracker preformed by Ballet AZ!!! I’ve never seen it before or even been to a ballet so I can’t wait! My friend is in it too which make it extra exciting AND I get to see my DFC girls who I haven’t seen in months! I will be counting down the days.

My Twilight Movie Reveiw

It was really good. I was not disappointed. It wasn’t perfect, but I thought Bella and Edward were good together. Enough so that I completely forgot how much he grosses me out in real life. They did a pretty good job picking the rest of the vampires. Except for Jasper and Emmet. I thought they were ugly but maybe that’s just me. I couldn’t help but think of how perfect they made that stupid Jessica, I wanted to punch her. Of course they had to cut stuff out to make in short enough for a movie, but I think they did a good job picking and choosing and it still flowed well. I have heard people don’t like the sparkling scene but I don’t agree. I liked it, to me the transition into it was a little iffy but once it got going it was good. Overall I’m impressed, satisfied, and I would not mind seeing it again.

I got back from Mississippi Sunday night. It was so good seeing my family, I just wish I could have seen them longer. I literally spend more time on a plane or in a airport than I did in MS, but it was worth it. I got my birthday presents early while I was gone. My mom bought me a new purse, watch, and shoes. My dad gave me the Ipod and Ihome he won from work. Now I just have to pick up as many shifts as I can to make up the money I lost going to Holbrook and MS.

Twilight opens tomorrow and I’m very scared. I will never forgive them if they mess this up! NEVER!!!

Thurs. I went to bed about 11:30, and didn't fall asleep until at least midnight. Friday morning I woke up to my alarm at 2:30 am to get ready for my 5:30 am flight. Mom and I were in Atlanta at about about 10:30. Our layover to Jackson MS was going to leave at 3:20. It didn't leave until
6:15. that was after they changed our gate three times. I hate Delta and I hate Atlanta.

Anyway, my dad picked us up from the Jackson airport and drove us up to Philadelphia to see my Grandma. They had pound cake waiting for us, it was heaven on a plate. We head back down to Jackson today for my aunts birthday party.

First I would like to say thanks to Michelle for having such a fun party. All your hard work paid off, the party was awesome. It seems my cookies were a hit(with Camille if no one else) so I have been inspired to make a batch to take to work on Friday.

Sunday after Griffin’s battle drill thingy we are leaving for Holbrook! I’m very excited to be out of here for a while. I am hoping with all I can hope that it is cool enough there I can wear sweaters. I don’t really have anything interesting to say so Ta Ta for now.

I have been a complete loser of late. On the recommendation of Michelle I started reading the twilight books Saturday before last, and I finished breaking dawn on Tuesday. My mind became consumed and I have done pretty much nothing but read (and work when I had to) since I started and now I am trying to ether remember how to have a life or figure out a new book to start… I wonder which path would be cheaper.

I am in take out at work now, as well as hosting. This means I will hopefully make more money…I guess will find out on Friday when I get my first pay check with take out shifts on it. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

The day of the office party I took the extra cupcakes I made to work for everyone to eat. They were a hit and my love of baking become known. So two guys at work are paying me to bake stuff for them this weekend and take it to them on Monday. I am making caramel brownies for one and peanut butter cookies for the other. I told griffin about my plan for the caramel brownies and he wants some, so I’m going to make a batch for him too. I can’t wait!

I have officially put off getting ready for work as long as I could for this morning so it is time to go straighten my hair. Some times I think it would be much easier to be a boy. But then I remember I would look like my brother and strike the thought for my mind.

I don't know about you guys but I LOVE Halloween. 57 days till Halloween! That gives my 56 to figure out my costume. Last year I was a pirate with Jackie. This year I was kinda thinking Aphrodite. Or maybe Miss America. I could wear a ball gown and get a sash and crown and carry a huge bouquet of red roses. Or if I wanted to be silly (which I do overly enjoy) I was thinking Sharpay from High school musical... I don't know, I guess we'll see. If you have ideas that would be AWSOME for me let me know.

The Momo Update

Last Thurs. I got my yearly review at Islands. The grading was +(the best), -(the worst), or =(average). Out of 15 I got 2 equal signs and the rest all plus. And my manager bought me spinach dip to eat... yay for me! I also told her that I would move up to take out a day or two a week which means I'll make more money. All I have to do is finish one more test and do my training, so I'm going in to work early today to do the test.

Speaking of Islands in Mesa there are a few things you should all know. Our zero grams trans fat Island fries now come on the side of all our burgers and sandwiches. We have a new chicken wrap on the menu. Lunch specials are from open-4 Monday through Friday. AND kids eat free Tuesday nights after 4.

I woke up at six today. I made breakfast for mom, Jackie and me, ate and had my coffee, watched news, took a shower, did dishes and a load of laundry, and got ready for work(except for my hair) and I still have two hours until I have to leave. I'm excited!

Griffin has an interview today, everyone pray that it goes well please.

And last AND least I watched the two hour series premiere of the new 90210 last night. I really liked and will be watching next week. But, I don't really think my vote counts because am a sucker for all T.V. shows aimed and female teens just like me. Go figure. :-)

I have rented the first two disks of the first season of Heroes and I LOVE IT. I'm sending them in tomorrow to get disk 3 and 4 and I am super excited.

Also yesterday was the season premiere of my true guilty pleasure show. Yes yes, Gossip Girl has started once again, and as lame as it sounds, I can't get enough of that show. And so I sit and wait for 7 PM next Monday to hear the true wisdom of the one and only Gossip Girl.

P.s. I just got a text from my sister telling me she is locked out of both her house, and her car....... nice!

And they were correct, it is completely fun filled. That is if having a heart attack is your kind of fun. I'm through all four worlds and just have to finish the last level (which I have been trying to do for two weeks now). If worrying about clearing 1 hundred lines of blocks off a tiny screen by threes wasn't hard enough for you, don't worry, the last level kicks it up a notch for you. Get this... 2 hundred lines that you have for get rid of to win AND the blocks no longer come from JUST the bottom. Every 20 lines or so they flip so the blocks start coming from the top and about 20 lines later the fly back to the bottom. I can't beat it! UGH!

I made Lemon poppy seed muffins for breakfast this morning and they were fantastic!

I would like to thank my mom and Grandma Johnson for teaching me how to bake, Betty Crocker for her time saving boxed muffins mixes, and my elementary school teachers for teaching me how to read so I can read the baking directions on the back of the box! I'm in TX visiting my big sister. She had to have knee surgery, so I came to take care of her. The surgery was today and she is home and doing fine. She is in alot of pain but, that will get better.

I'm excited for tomorrow! would you like to know why?! Well I'll tell you anyway. I don't have a time that I have to wake up tomorrow. YAY! I really feel like I need to catch up on sleep. I havn't sleep past 5 in the moring (PHX time) since Wed. Also, I'm making cinnamon rolls for breakfast. YAY again!

Well, so much for posting every other day I guess. I really will try to do better. Last week was really good. I worked a lot so my check should be good. I met Jackie’s friend Anabel( I hope I spelled her name right). She is from Mexico and was going to go home. Then she had some problems with her mom and decided to leave early. She has all ten season of friends on DVD and she left it with Jackie because she couldn’t fit it in her bag, so now I get to watch that. Something you may not know about me…. I love FRIENDS!!!

The Sat. after my dad’s hearts attack was Erica’s(Griff’s Sister) wedding. Sadly it was at the same time as my sister-in-laws birthday dinner, so I missed the wedding. But I did make it to part or the reception. She looked so beautiful, and everything in the place was perfect! I wish I didn’t miss the wedding! This is Griffin’s amazingly cute and sweet little sister Hailey. She was a flower girl.

During the week my sister-in-law sent this to me with the message “I’m being a good boy at the vet”. Isn’t Tater just the cutest bull dog you’ve ever seen?! I love that pup!

Tuesday was Griffin’s birthday he spent Monday night here so he could spend his birthday with me. I had to work, but after that we had the whole day together. We went to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner… it was SO good. We also decided to make his birthday cake together. I couldn’t find my round cake pans to make a layer cake so we made a Christmas tree cake. It was delicious and beautiful!

I believe it was Sat., Jackie and I were on the computerwhen i glanced over on my desk and saw 8 coins... It was then that i made this little man. He is the best coin man you will ever meet!

Also, I Really REALLY want a new tattoo…. Well more than one to tell the truth. First, I want the left, inside of my lip tattooed with one of these heart peace signs…. Smaller than on the shirt of course.

Second, I want a magnolia tattooed on my shoulder…. My left one I think. I want it to look some thing like one of these. (And if I ever see anyone other than Jackie with this I will kick your big behind for stealing our idea!)

My Weekend

I know it’s been too long since I’ve posted. I really want to start posting about every other day at least but we will just have to see. For today I am going to tell you about my weekend.

Thursday:
I had to work at 11:30 so I got up at 9:30 and took shower. After the shower(about 10:00) rather than doing my hair and getting ready for work like I should have, I was lazy and sat down on mom’s bed to watch TV. with dad. Dad told me he was having indigestion from the burger he had eaten at Islands the day before.
About fifteen minutes later he got a really bad pain in his chest and I thought it was heart burn. But then he started moaning and grabbing his chest, and changing positions to make it feel better. At one point the stood up and almost fell over. That is when I knew something was wrong. After about three minutes of this I asked him if he thought he was having a heart attack. He said he didn’t know, but he wasn’t ready for me to call anyone yet. I was shaking really bad and I left the room to think for a second. When I came back he was lying on his back and he told me to call 911. I ran to my bed room screaming to Jackie for phone. She gave me her cell and I called 911. The lady asked my address and I gave it to her and told her I thought my dad was having a heart attack. She asked what made me think that. I told her he was having really bad chest pains, was dizzy and had said he was nauseas. Then he added that he was having trouble breathing and I told her. She sent the fire dept. and a ambulance that came pretty quickly and they took dad to the hospital. I rode in the front seat. After mom got there I called out of work. He spent about thirty minutes in the Emergency Room before it was decided he probably had a clot. They took him up stairs and did a dye test to see if there was a blockage and there was. They put a stint in and by the end of the night he was almost as good as new. The made him stay in the hospital until today. He came home about noon. He was suppose to fly back to Mississippi today but they pushed it back until next Friday. So that is what dominated my weekend. I’ll post ether later tonight or tomorrow about the rest of my weekend.

Home from San Antonio

Yes, Yes...the much awaited trip to San Antonio to bring the love of my life home has successfully come to an end. After waking up at four AM, pushing our way through the long line at security, and resisting the urge to stuff our faces with Cinna-bun, Jackie and I boarded the plane, were flown to Texas and deplaned. We then proceeded to get our bags and like big girls find a cab to the hotel. Griffin and his friend Heckel got to come to the hotel that day and they spent the day with us. Mom’s plane arrived late that night and once she got there we all went to sleep. We woke up early and hit up sonic for breakfast and coffee and then headed to post ASAP. We walked around the PX until Griffin and Heckel got there and then we headed toward the dinner. Then next day we woke up even earlier and went to post for graduation. The were inside practicing and we went in to get in line. They had the graduation and after almost two hours of standing around waiting for someone to fix something on Griffin’s papers and about two hours of waiting on a cab, we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast/lunch. We went back to the hotel and Griffin’s friend Houk (who was awesome by the way) and his wife, took mom to the airport. Later that night they shoved me in the trunk of Houk’s renal car(because they were short one seat) and we went done to the Riverwalk. We ate at Chiles and went on the beautiful boat tour and we headed back to the hotel. The next morning I again tucked onto the back of the car and we went to an amazing little diner called Jim’s where me and Jackie satisfied the Cinna-bun craving we had gotten on Monday. Then it was on to the airport (I made Jackie get in the back this time.) and we flew away home. I am SO ECSTATIC that he is home with me!!! YAY!!!

The people of St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Mesa are absolutely amazing. My mom got in a car accident on a Friday. The next Sunday my pastor asked the congregation to pray for us. A person/people went to the office and told the pastors they wanted to help us but knew my mom was too proud to take help. But they ended up donating money to help pay our rent for the month because my mom couldn’t work. Someone/some people anonymously donated over a thousand dollars to help us. I thank the Lord for these people and I love them so much even though I don’t know who they are. They saved us from losing out apartment and I can’t even tell them thank you. I believe in angels… my church is full of them.

My Ideal Job!

I had and idea for my perfect job. Thank about all the un-crafty people in this world. Imagine this….Those people bring me all their pictures and memories and tell me about them. Then they tell me all the things they(or whomever it’s for) like to do, their favorite color, songs, anything that would help. I go to the store and by anything I need that I don’t already have. Then I take what I learned about that person and what they give me and make scrap books! THEN I get paid for it!!! How awesome would that be. Talk bout my DREAM job.

I don’t know if this is already being done. If it is I have never heard of it…. But I want to do it.

My Amazing Boyfriend

May I introduce to you the sweetest, most handsome man any woman could ever ask for or have the pleasure of meeting. Not only was I lucky enough to meet him but we fell in love. It has been my absolute, pure joy to call this amazing man my boyfriend for the last two years and 3 months. Nothing in my life has ever made me as happy as he does. Even from 1,000 miles away, he still gives me butterflies. I know I am luckiest girl in the world every time I hear his voice and look at his picture, because I know one day, that man will come home to me. In 28 days he will be home again, and I will never again take our time together for granted like I did before he left. Now, every day I thank God for placing him in my life. I love you baby.

THe World Of Islands Bussing

Imagine.... a table with six of these.... half eaten... two baskets of fries... plates full of
Ketchup and ranch...and 11 empty drink mugs.... that is what a busser at Islands deals with.... on a good day.

Today I Embark on the horrible job that is called bussing tables at Islands. I have been so content these past two weeks. You see, two weeks ago was when started a new system at the restaurant. Host no longer bus tables. We have bussers to do that now. And those poor bussers have to come in at 9:45 in the morning and clean nasty tables all day. I have loved not having to clean tables any more! That is the worst part!

But today…. I am that poor busser…. And I am not happy about it… And there is nothing I can do about it…. Lame. All I can say is my tips better make it worth it!

That being said... everyong should eat there because it's SO good. And I'm not just saying that because I work there. I work there because I can say that (and because I don't drive and it's next to my Apt. :-))

Welcome everyone to my new blog. May I start first with an explanation of why I created this blog.

I started four or five years ago with live journal, until myspace came along and killed it. So now I am on myspace which I really like to talk to friends. But I really wanted to blog more and the blogs on myspace suck. Then I discovered Blogger.com through my boy friends mom, Michelle, An it seems MUCH better. So I created this, and here I am trying it out rather than cleaning and packing like I should. FINALLY! A new reason to procrastinate…. I’ve been looking for one for months. ;-)
